About this product

Raw bitter apricot seeds grown in California, the highest-B17 variety Apricot Power sells.

Bitter apricot seeds are the kernels inside the apricot pit, eaten in small amounts in Central Asia and the Middle East for centuries. They are the richest natural source of amygdalin, often called vitamin B17, and Apricot Power reports that California-grown seeds test higher in B17 than any other origin they carry. The seeds also bring plant protein, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, zinc, iron, phosphorus, fiber and vitamins A and E. Raw, unroasted, non-GMO, about 375 seeds per bag. Sharply bitter, like a strong almond.

Who this is for

  • People who want B17 from the whole seed and the most potent source
  • Buying California-grown over imported
  • Adding a few seeds to a smoothie or eating them with dried apricot to soften the bitterness

How to use

  • Label serving is 3 seeds, about 60 mg B17. Start lower and stay within the label. More is not better
  • Eat whole, or blend into a smoothie or oatmeal. Pair with honey or dried apricot
  • Not for children or anyone pregnant or nursing. Consult your health care provider before use
