Bamboo Switch — Bamboo Backscratcher

Fourteen inches of bamboo for the itch you cannot reach.

There is no clever version of this. A backscratcher is a curved hand on a long stick, and bamboo is the right material because it is strong, light and smooth, with fingers that scratch firmly without being sharp. Unlike the plastic ones, it will not snap at the neck, and it looks fine hanging by the bed or the reading chair.

It also works for gentle relaxation after a shower, or for anyone whose shoulders do not turn the way they used to.

Who this is for

• Dry winter skin that itches between the shoulder blades
• Limited shoulder mobility from age, injury or surgery
• Anyone who has ever backed up to a doorframe
• A small, funny, practical gift that gets used every day
