Every time you dip a finger into a balm or cream, you carry bacteria and water into the pot, and natural products without synthetic preservatives are the least forgiving of that. A small spatula fixes it. Scoop what you need, apply, wipe clean. It also gets the last of a product out of the corners of a jar, which pays for the tool on its own. This one is bamboo, smooth on both edges, and small enough to live in the lid of your favorite jar.
