About this product

A pot scrubber that scrubs hard, then composts.

Plastic scrub pads shed microplastic into the sink every time you use them, and they end up in the trash within weeks. This scrubber is a chunky bamboo handle set with stiff sisal and coconut-fiber bristles. The bristles are tough enough for baked-on rice and roasting pans but will not scratch enamel or cast iron seasoning. Nothing on it is synthetic, so when it wears out it goes in the compost.

Who this is for

  • You cook in cast iron or carbon steel and need a scrubber that respects the seasoning
  • You are replacing plastic sponges and pads in the kitchen
  • You want a brush that dries fast and does not hold that sour-sponge smell
  • You like tools that sit out on the counter without looking like trash

How to use

  • Add dish soap, scrub in circles, rinse and stand upright to dry
  • Boil the bristles for 1 to 2 minutes to sanitize when needed
  • Lasts about 3 months of daily use
  • 3.25 by 2.25 inches. Bamboo handle, sisal and coconut bristles. Sold package-free
