Handmade soap is full of glycerin and softer than commercial bars, and it turns to mush if it sits in water. This lift is a row of bamboo slats, so the bar rests on thin ridges with open air underneath and water runs out between them. The soap dries fast and lasts far longer. Bamboo is naturally water resistant, does not rust and does not grow the pink slime that fabric and plastic dishes do. It fits in a standard soap dish, on the sink or on the tub edge.
