Cellulose Dish Sponge with Coconut Scrubber - Simple Ecology

A dish sponge you can compost: plant cellulose, coconut fiber and cotton thread, no plastic.

The ordinary kitchen sponge is plastic foam with a plastic scrubber, and it sheds microplastics down the drain until you throw it in the landfill. This one is plant cellulose for the sponge, coconut coir and natural latex for the scrubber, sewn together with cotton thread. It's strong enough to lift stuck-on food and gentle enough for non-stick pans. Extra stitching keeps the scrubber in place so it lasts longer, and when it's done, tear it up and drop it in the compost.

Measures 3 by 4 inches. Squeeze out and let dry fully after each use; replace every 3 to 4 weeks. To sanitize, run it through the dishwasher (top rack); it's machine washable up to 200°F. Home compostable.
