About this product

A kitchen sponge that goes in the compost bin, not the landfill.

A set of three sponges made from the loofah plant, a gourd that dries into a fibrous natural scrubber. They arrive flat and compact, then expand once wet. The fiber is firm enough to scrub dishes, sinks, stovetops and tubs, but non-abrasive, so it will not scratch cookware or enamel. When a sponge wears out, it composts.

  • You want a scrubber that will not scratch cast iron enamel or glass
  • You are building a plastic-free kitchen one item at a time
