Jalapeno and cheddar in a slow-fermented sourdough. The one that sells out first.
Con Ternura's naturally leavened sourdough with jalapeno and sharp cheddar folded through the dough and baked until the cheese at the surface goes crisp. Warm heat, not painful heat, with melted cheddar in every slice. Toast it for eggs, grill it into a cheese sandwich, or serve it next to a bowl of chili.
Long fermentation with a wild starter breaks down much of the gluten and phytic acid in the flour before you eat it, which is why many people who feel heavy after ordinary bread digest true sourdough comfortably. No commercial yeast, no dough conditioners, no preservatives.
Who this is for
- You want bread with a little heat and a lot of cheese
- You make chili, soup or eggs and want the right loaf beside them
- You feel bloated after supermarket bread and miss real bread
- You want to support a Modesto baker instead of a factory
