Corona Woodworking — Book Board Set

A matched set of boards, made by the same hand from the same stock.

Corona's book board set: hardwood boards cut and finished together so the grain and color match. The obvious wedding present, and the thing to buy if you are replacing a drawer of plastic all at once. Use one for raw meat and one for everything else, or keep one for the counter and one for the table.

Wood over plastic for a reason. Plastic boards shed microplastics into your food every time the knife scores them, and the scores are where bacteria live. Hardwood closes over knife marks, and wood's own chemistry works against what tries to grow in it.

Who this is for

• You need a wedding or housewarming gift that will be used every day
• You want separate boards for meat and produce that still match
• You are replacing every plastic board in the kitchen in one go
• You want boards that serve as well as they prep

How to use

Hand wash, never the dishwasher, and dry standing up. Oil them when they look thirsty with Corona's board oil, tallow or a food-grade mineral oil, not a seed oil that will go rancid in the grain. One set only; each is made by hand, so the next set will not be identical.
