About this product

The fat chefs reach for when potatoes need to be perfect.

Rendered duck fat from cage-free ducks raised on land in the U.S., kettle-rendered in small batches and fine-filtered until it is clean and golden. Duck fat is mostly monounsaturated fat, the same kind that makes olive oil a good idea, but it holds up to high heat and carries a rich, savory flavor of its own.

It is a traditional cooking fat, the kind kitchens used before seed oils arrived, with no processing, bleaching or deodorizing behind it. Two ingredients: duck fat and organic rosemary extract, which keeps it fresh.

Who this is for

  • You are cutting seed oils and need something that fries well
  • You want roast potatoes and vegetables with a crisp, deep-flavored crust
  • You cook keto, paleo or Whole30 and want real fat, not a substitute
  • You make confit, savory pies or cast-iron dinners

How to use

Sear, roast or fry with it like any cooking fat. A spoonful in the pan for eggs or vegetables goes a long way. 14 oz glass jar. Naturally shelf stable; refrigerate after opening for longest life.

Fatworks has rendered fats from small U.S. family farms since 2011, putting to use a nourishing part of the animal that farms once threw away.
