About this product

Ghee from goat butter, for people who cannot do cow dairy.

Ghee is butter slow-cooked until the water and milk solids separate out, leaving pure butterfat. Made from grass-fed, grass-finished goat milk butter, this one has a delicate, nutty flavor and none of the tang people expect from goat.

Because the milk solids are gone, ghee is free of lactose and casein, so many people who react to butter tolerate it well. Goat milk fat is naturally different from cow: Fatworks reports twice the vitamins A, D and E of cow milk ghee. It holds up to heat over 450 degrees, higher than almost any cooking fat. One ingredient: clarified goat milk butter.

Who this is for

  • You react to cow dairy but miss cooking with butter
  • You eat paleo, Whole30 or ancestral and want a clean saturated fat
  • You sear at high heat and are tired of butter burning
  • You want a fat rich in fat-soluble vitamins for kids or picky eaters

How to use

Use it anywhere you use butter or oil: scrambled eggs, searing, roasting, in coffee, on toast. 7.5 oz glass jar. Shelf stable; no refrigeration needed.

Fatworks has rendered fats from small U.S. family farms since 2011, putting to use a nourishing part of the animal that farms once threw away.
