About this product

Gravenstein apple butter, cooked down slow from Sonoma County's heirloom apple.

Gravensteins are the heirloom apple of Sebastopol, tart, aromatic and hard to find outside Sonoma County. Apple butter is not butter at all: it is apples cooked down for hours until they turn dark, thick and spreadable, with sugar kept low because the apples concentrate on their own. Rich in fiber, and it tastes like fall.
