Muscle Oil — TALO Med

The TALO Med muscle formula in a pourable, wax-free oil, for backs, shoulders, thighs and calves, where a balm is slow and a liquid covers ground.

Muscle Oil carries the same botanicals as the Muscle Balm without the beeswax, so it pours and spreads. The base is grass-fed and grass-finished tallow and olive oil, which take the actives into skin rather than leaving them on the surface. Arnica and St. John's wort infused oils are the two herbs most used in traditional practice for bruises, sore muscles and overworked joints. Menthol crystals and camphor give the sensation, cooling first and then warming, and peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and clove essential oils finish it.

• Large sore areas, a whole back or both legs, where a balm takes too long
• Post-workout or post-shift rubdowns, or a massage at home
• Stiff, achy muscles in cold weather
• You want a muscle rub without petroleum, synthetic fragrance or a chemical burn

How to use

Pour a little into a palm and work it into the sore area until it warms. Wash hands after use. Reapply as needed.
