About this product

100% cacao, ground from the whole bean with nothing removed. A cup of this is what chocolate was before sugar got involved.

Ceremonial cacao is the whole cacao bean, lightly processed and ground into a paste, then formed into discs. Nothing is pressed out and nothing is added, so every cup has the full cacao butter, the theobromine that gives cacao its gentle, steady lift, and the minerals cacao is rich in: magnesium, iron, and antioxidant flavanols. It is bitter, rich and filling, and it has been drunk this way in Central America for thousands of years.

Who this is for

  • You want to cut coffee and need a morning cup that still feels like something
  • Journaling, meditation, or a slow Sunday morning
  • Magnesium and iron from food rather than a pill
  • Hosting a cacao circle, or curious what one is
  • Anyone who loves dark chocolate and wants it without sugar
