Renewal Balm

The flagship of the TALO line and the most concentrated formula we make: 48% grass-fed tallow and 7% raw Manuka honey, for skin that is dry, stressed or worn out.

Tallow is rendered beef suet, and grass-fed tallow is unusually close to human skin oil in its makeup: the same saturated and monounsaturated fats, plus fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. That is why it absorbs into skin instead of sitting on top the way petroleum and plant waxes do. Renewal Balm carries that tallow at nearly half the jar. Raw Manuka honey at 7% does the conditioning work; unrefined shea and jojoba soften and seal without suffocating; a little frankincense finishes it. It comes in violet Miron glass, which blocks the light that degrades the oils.

How to use

Warm a small amount between your fingers and press into clean, slightly damp skin. A little goes a long way. Use on the face at night and on any rough spot as needed.
