Fresh basil leaves are crushed together with California olives at the press, so the fragrant, slightly sweet flavor of the herb is carried in the oil itself. It's robust and green, and it turns a plain tomato into a dish. Underneath it is 100% California extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed, rich in monounsaturated oleic acid and polyphenols. No extracts, no flavoring.
