Commercial lotions are 70 to 90 percent water, which you pay for and which evaporates. Silk Revival has none. It is grass-fed tallow, unrefined shea, and a set of botanical oils chosen for skin: prickly pear seed, rosehip, olive squalane and camellia, all rich in fatty acids and vitamin E. Because there is no water, there is no emulsifier and no preservative. It goes on as a balm and turns to a silken oil as it warms, ivory with a golden cast, scented with vanilla, frankincense, helichrysum and myrrh.

How to use

Apply to damp skin straight out of the shower. A pea-sized amount does a face; it absorbs in about a minute. Available in 4 oz and 8 oz glass jars.

Ingredients: grass-fed beef tallow, unrefined organic shea butter, organic jojoba oil, prickly pear seed oil, organic rosehip seed oil, olive-derived squalane, camellia seed oil, vitamin E (mixed tocopherols), vanilla oleoresin, organic frankincense, helichrysum and myrrh essential oils.
