Tallow and goat milk soap with turmeric and colloidal oats: a gentle, golden bar for dry, irritated or itchy skin.

Tallow makes a hard, long-lasting bar with a dense, creamy lather, and because its fatty acids are close to the skin's own it cleans without stripping. Goat milk adds fat, lactic acid and vitamins that leave skin soft. To that base this bar adds two ingredients with long traditional use on troubled skin: colloidal oats, the finely ground oats found in oatmeal baths and used for generations to calm itching, and turmeric, valued in Ayurvedic skincare for brightening and soothing. The turmeric gives the bar its warm color.

How to use

Lather in wet hands or on a cloth, wash, rinse. Keep the bar on a draining dish so it dries between uses. Turmeric can leave a faint tint on light washcloths; it rinses off skin.
