About this product

All the ginger, garlic, chili and seaweed of Wise Goat's award-winning kimchi, built on crunchy green cabbage instead of napa.

Kraut-Chi is the cross between a sauerkraut and a kimchi. It uses the exact same seasoning as their Vegan Kimchi, with carrots, daikon, spring onions, ginger, garlic, sesame, arame seaweed and red pepper, but the base is organic green cabbage, which ferments denser and crunchier than napa. It is wild fermented with unrefined sea salt and is raw and unpasteurized, so the live Lactobacillus cultures, lactic acid and enzymes are all still in the jar. The flavor is savory, gingery and moderately spicy, with more crunch and a bit more sourness than kimchi.

Who this is for

  • You love kimchi flavor but prefer the firm crunch of kraut
  • You want a daily probiotic food with enough personality to eat on its own
  • You are vegan or avoiding fish sauce, sugar and vinegar
  • You want one jar that works on tacos, rice bowls and eggs alike

How to use

A forkful or two a day, added after cooking. Try it on rice and grain bowls, in fried rice, with eggs, on burgers and hot dogs, or in tacos.
