Raw Milk — A2 Cow

Raw A2 cow milk by the gallon, bottled and sealed at a CDFA-licensed milk products plant and delivered to us finished. We put it in the cooler and sell it exactly as it arrived — we don’t open it, we don’t repackage it, and it never goes above 45°F.

A2 refers to the beta-casein protein variant the herd carries. Some people who find ordinary milk hard going get on better with it; we’re not going to tell you it will fix anything, because we don’t know that.

In store only, and always will be. Federal law (21 CFR 1240.61) prohibits raw milk for human consumption from crossing state lines, so we can’t ship it anywhere, on ice or otherwise. Anyone offering to is either breaking the law or not selling you raw milk.

Public health authorities advise against raw milk, particularly for young children, pregnant women, the elderly and anyone immunocompromised. You should know that clearly before you buy. What we can tell you is what we do: permitted dairy, tested batches, cold chain kept, paperwork on file. The decision after that is yours.
