Farmer Joe's Raw Milk — A2 Cow

🥛 Local delivery & in-store pickup. This is a fresh, cold item. Order it here and choose Local Delivery (within 5 miles of our Modesto store, delivered after 7 PM) or Pickup at 429 McHenry Ave at checkout — we keep it cold the whole way. It cannot be shipped.

Raw A2 cow milk by the gallon, bottled and sealed at a CDFA-licensed milk products plant and delivered to us finished. We put it in the cooler and sell it exactly as it arrived — we don’t open it, we don’t repackage it, and it never goes above 45°F.

A2 refers to the beta-casein protein variant the herd carries. Some people who find ordinary milk hard going get on better with it; we’re not going to tell you it will fix anything, because we don’t know that.

Local only — never shipped. Federal law (21 CFR 1240.61) prohibits raw milk for human consumption from crossing state lines, so we can’t ship it anywhere, on ice or otherwise — but we will bring it to your door within 5 miles or hold it cold for pickup. Anyone offering to mail you raw milk is either breaking the law or not selling you raw milk.

Public health authorities advise against raw milk, particularly for young children, pregnant women, the elderly and anyone immunocompromised. You should know that clearly before you buy. What we can tell you is what we do: permitted dairy, tested batches, cold chain kept, paperwork on file. The decision after that is yours.
