Splitting a beef share with a friend or family member? This is your half of the deposit.

When two households share one quarter, half or whole animal, each pays their own portion of the 50% deposit here. Choose the same grass-fed or certified organic option and the same share size your partner chose. The balance is invoiced on the actual hanging weight when the animal comes back from the butcher, split the same way.

  • Both halves of the split must be reserved before we place the order with the ranch

  • Roughly a two-week turnaround from the ranch
  • Pickup at 429 McHenry Ave, Modesto, or local delivery within 5 miles. We do not ship frozen meat

How it’s cut: to our standard butcher’s sheet — the everyday mix of steaks, roasts, stew and ground beef most families want, everything vacuum-sealed, frozen and labeled. Exact packaging varies a little from run to run. Anything the butcher should know, put in the notes below — we’ll confirm it with you by phone before your share goes to the ranch.

You’re paying your half. Enter the other family’s name and email below — we’ll send them their own link to pay the other half of the deposit. Nobody fronts the other’s share, and the balance at pickup is split the same way.

You are paying your half of the deposit now — 25% of the share. We’ll email the other family a link to pay their half. The balance is figured on the share’s actual hanging weight at pickup and is split between you. Offal — liver, heart, kidney, tongue — is removed at the plant and is not part of your share.

Returns

If it isn't right, tell us within 30 days and we'll make it right. Opened food and refrigerated items are the one exception, for obvious reasons.
