What's in it

• Grass-fed & finished beef tallow — slowly rendered from suet sourced from regenerative California ranches. Mirrors the fatty acids found in the outer layer of skin, including baby skin. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K.
• Virgin organic coconut oil — naturally contains lauric acid. Adds glide and a light coconut note.
• Unrefined organic shea butter — packed with fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamins A and E.
• Non-nano zinc oxide — forms a physical barrier between baby's skin and moisture and friction. The non-nano particles sit on top of the skin rather than absorbing — the safest form of zinc oxide for infants.
• Raw beeswax — a breathable, protective layer that locks in moisture without suffocating the skin.
• Organic chamomile & lavender essential oils — at baby-safe dilution for a soft, calming scent.

That's it. No petroleum, no parabens, no synthetic fragrances, no phthalates, no mineral oils, no talc.

How to use

1. Warm a pea-sized amount between clean fingertips.
2. Apply a thin, even layer to the diaper area at every change.
3. Use liberally on any red, irritated, or dry patches.
4. For cradle cap: massage a small amount into baby's scalp, leave 15 minutes, comb gently, then rinse at bath time.

A note for parents

Formulated for babies 3 months and older. For younger infants, or if your child has known allergies, do a small patch test on the inner arm 24 hours before regular use and discontinue if any irritation occurs. Consult your pediatrician with specific concerns.

The craft

Hand-mixed in small batches in Oakdale, California. We warm the tallow, shea, and coconut oil slowly so nothing denatures, fold in the non-nano zinc and beeswax, add the essential oils at the lowest heat, and hand-pour every jar. Family-made, the way we'd make it for our own kids — because it was, originally.
