The one everybody wants. Huge glossy leaves that split and perforate as the plant matures — Monstera deliciosa, the Swiss cheese plant. This is a mature, full specimen in a woven basket, not a starter pot: it fills a corner from day one.
Light: Bright indirect. Direct afternoon sun will burn the leaves.
Water: When the top two to three inches are dry, roughly weekly. Let it drain completely.
Grows: Big, and wants to climb. Give it a moss pole and the new leaves come in larger and more split.
Toxic if chewed — keep away from pets and small children. Potted by Plant Patience in Oakdale, California.
