The Chinese money plant — perfectly round, coin-shaped leaves held out on slender stems like a little forest of umbrellas. It's cheerful, compact, and famous for producing baby plants around its base that you can pot up and give away, which is how it traveled the world before it was ever sold commercially.
Light: Bright indirect. Turn the pot every week or two or it leans hard toward the light.
Water: When the top inch is dry. The leaves droop when it's thirsty and recover fast.
Grows: Compact — stays desk- or shelf-sized, and makes pups.
Potted in classic terracotta.
