The plant that moves. Maranta folds its leaves upward at dusk like hands in prayer and opens them again at dawn — you can watch it happen. The foliage is worth it on its own: deep green feathered with cream and traced in red veins.
Light: Medium to bright indirect. Direct sun bleaches the pattern.
Water: Keep evenly moist, never soggy. It's sensitive to hard water and chlorine — filtered or left-out tap water prevents crispy edges.
Loves: Humidity. A bathroom or kitchen is ideal, or set it on a pebble tray.
Potted in a modern concrete planter.
