Waxy, deep-green leaflets marching up thick upright stems — the ZZ looks polished enough to be fake, and it is close to unkillable. It stores water in fat underground rhizomes, so it genuinely prefers being ignored.
Light: Low to bright indirect. It'll live in an office with nothing but overhead fluorescents.
Water: Every two to three weeks. When in doubt, wait another week.
Grows: Slowly, upright, and holds its shape beautifully.
Potted in classic terracotta.
